Philadelphia CyberKnife Welcomes Anthony Ricco, M.D.

Philadelphia CyberKnife announced that board-certified radiation oncologist Anthony Ricco, M.D. has joined their cancer care treatment team.

Dr. Ricco, a native of the greater Philadelphia area, graduated with a Bachelor of Science with Distinction from The Pennsylvania State University in State College, Pennsylvania, and received his medical doctorate from Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed his internship in medical oncology and hematology cancer at Crozer-Chester Medical Center in Upland, Pennsylvania, and his residency in radiation oncology at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia, where he served as Chief Resident.

In addition to his education and medical training, Dr. Ricco has been awarded numerous honors, presented research at national conferences, and authored several articles in peer-reviewed medical journals. He is a member of many professional societies including the American Brachytherapy Society (ABS), the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), and the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO).

Dr. Ricco is a strong advocate for high-quality, community-based cancer care, which drives his desire to create personalized and comprehensive treatment plans for every patient. He believes everyone deserves focused attention that addresses the full spectrum of their needs and that clear communication, accessibility, and education are crucial to building relationships that not only provide excellent care but also empower his patients.

In his spare time, Dr. Ricco enjoys biking, watching movies, tinkering with computers, exploring different parts of the community with his wife, and spending time with his friends and family.
